Josh Tabor of the Maine Girl Dads joins Chuck Ellis. Josh is a father of four daughters, a teacher, a former assistant principal and elementary principal, and a current school board member in MSAD 60, and he discusses why he’s involved in politics in Maine.
He explains the school board’s core responsibilities, the budget, the superintendent and policy, and why board members should ask hard questions and judge every program by its return on investment. Josh and Chuck also talk about the problems facing Maine’s education system, from students who never master basic math facts to coddling that leaves kids unprepared for the real world.
Josh also shares how he came to speak for the Maine Girl Dads in Augusta and calls on more men to step up.
