Chuck Ellis sits down with Michelle Tucker, who serves on the MSAD 11 School Board and is the new president of the Maine Federation of Republican Women, as she shares her story of getting into Maine politics.
A former sales executive, Michelle first got involved over LD 798, the law that removed religious and philosophical exemptions from school vaccine requirements. In 2023 she founded the nonprofit Respect Maine, which sued Gov. Janet Mills and legislative leaders over a special session.
Michelle walks through the fight over a proposed school-based health center in MSAD 11, including the push to see a contract before the board voted, and talks about parental rights, her own experience as a foster child who was adopted, and how women can get involved with the Federation.
